Overview ePrice elements

The different components of ePrice sales charges

When we talk about selling costs on ePrice, we really mean several things:

  • Basic transaction fees on sales made by vendors. These fees take the form of a percentage of the selling price, and vary according to product category,
  • Monthly subscription fee of €29, excluding VAT,
  • Fees applicable to credit card payments. In this case, the commission is 1.5%,
  • Fees for additional services such as marketplace returns management, advertising or product promotion. These fees depend on a number of factors, including the seller's objectives. They are optional.
Overview vendor impact on ePrice

Impact of selling costs on ePrice sellers

Although not high in comparison with other marketplaces, sales fees applied on ePrice can have a significant impact on the profitability and competitiveness of online stores. Applying fees reduces the profit margin on each sale made, which can impact the seller's room for manoeuvre when it comes to setting prices. What's more, sellers must take sales charges into account when choosing which products to sell, which can have an impact on their inventory and pricing strategy. To reduce this impact, sellers wishing to open a store on the ePrice marketplace can reduce shipping costs and optimize the logistics process. The aim is to increase the net profit margin.

Selling costs on ePrice: a practical example

Here's a concrete example to help you understand how much net income you can earn from selling a product on the ePrice marketplace. Of course, these fees vary according to the terms of your contract with the marketplace and any services and options you may want.
Let's say you want to sell a €100 beauty product on ePrice. In practice, this type of product is subject to a sales commission of 8%, or €8. Add to this 1.5% of €100 if the buyer pays by credit card, i.e. €1.5. If applicable, please allow for a €3 logistics fee for packing and shipping. Total costs therefore come to €12.5, for a net income of €87.5.
